The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The services place developed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise sassa status usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the read more agency said.
